Identity thieves and hackers search for a wide variety of personal information.  In a sense, they are searching for anything that might function as a toe-hold in unlocking the rest of your identity.  Some of these are common sense, but others might just surprise you. Specific items of information that the consumer should carefully consider before releasing include:
